San Fernando Valley
Houses For Sale
Families looking for larger lots and bigger houses with
more affordable prices often move to the San Fernando
Valley. The Valley is in close proximity to Hollywood and
downtown Los Angeles, but has cheaper housing prices.
Groceries and gas are also cheaper in the Valley than they
are in the Los Angeles Basin.
The San Fernando Valley is home to a thriving theater
scene. The NoHo arts district, which runs along several
blocks of Lankershim Boulevard in North Hollywood, is home
to many small theaters and art galleries. Acting schools,
cozy bookshops, and mom and pop businesses all give the
NoHo district its own personality. The district is also
peppered with lots of fun dining spots as well as unique
and stylish boutiques and clothes resale shops.
The San Fernando Valley started as a suburb of Los
Angeles. It is comprised mostly of bedroom communities,
which are communities that consist mostly of houses and
grocery stores and residents that drive into the city for
work. The Valley looks like a suburb, but has taken on its
own identity.
The arts district in North Hollywood, the business
district of Woodland Hills, and the appearance of studios
have all turned the Valley into something much more than a
suburb. Residents can work, play and live all within the
confines of The San Fernando Valley. Living in the Valley
can be a completely unique experience, totally different
from living in the rest of the Los Angeles
